Brimmer Mare |
The General Stud Book is uncertain about the sire of the Brimmer Mare. It says "a gr m of Mr Appleyard's, by Brimmer (or a son of Brimmer)" [GSB 1:6]. The tail-female line prior to the Castaway Mares may itself have been confused with that of Brimmer. |
Castaway Mares It is apparent from the racing calendars that the offspring of the two Castaway Mares have been confused in the General Stud Book [GSB 1:6]. |
Norris's Star The General Stud Book has confused Norris's Star [GSB 1:89] with the Ashridge Star (Bridgewater's Star). The dam of Ashridge Star is not as yet known. |
